Advent, the season leading up to Christmas, is a time of preparation and anticipation as we await the arrival of Jesus, bringer of peace and the restoration of the beloved community on earth. We invite you to join us in reading "The Advent of Justice." This book of meditations is a resource for daily devotions and the basis for our conversations in Adult Education on December 7 and 14. These meditations focus mostly on passages from Isaiah along with New Testament readings frequently linked to Isaiah. The readings invite us to reflect on God’s act of salvation in ancient history and the ways in which we are empowered to bring about healing and justice in today’s world. Copies of the book are available. The cost is $15 or whatever you can afford. You need not have read the book to participate in the Adult Education discussions.
