New Creation Singers a

The
New Creation Singers is a small worship band that strives
to provide meaningful music in the folk and contemporary genres for
worship services at First Baptist. We are a group of varying musical
ability who enjoy making music together and sharing it with others in
the congregation at First Baptist. We draw our music from the varied
musical experiences of the members of the group, contemporary Christian
music, the more traditional folk idiom, or wherever we find meaningful
music that interprets to us and, we hope, to our audiences and
congregation, God's unconditional love and his working in our lives.

The group provides music about once a month for the Sunday morning worship services at First Baptist, complementing the more traditional music provided by the Church Choir and by First Baptist's Pianist/Organist, Christopher Morgan Loy.

On occasion we have also provided music for community programs and other churches. In recent months, we have also performed evening concerts at the Norton Chapel of Keuka College, as part of the 75th annual summer retreat of the American Baptist Men of New York State, and at the First Baptist Church in Rome, New York. |
