On behalf of the wonderful members of the First Baptist Church in
Ithaca, I'd like to personally welcome you to join us on Sunday
mornings at 10:00. Here you will find a welcoming, caring, loving and
compassionate congregation who come from diverse backgrounds bringing
their unique and valued voices. Our goal as a congregation is
not uniformity but unity.
Toward this end, we welcome and affirm all people
regardless of race, gender, nationality, religious background or sexual
orientation. We are a passionate and intimate group committed to the
love, mercy and justice of God as evidenced in Jesus.
We take the Bible very seriously, but not literally, and we seek to
learn from each other as we celebrate the beautiful diversity of our
church family.
FBC is a community centered in Christ, bound by grace, and called to
model God's vision of inclusive love. Our ministry begins here as we
move beyond all barriers to a place of faithful worship. God's ministry
continues through the lives of each person who carries his or her faith
